Mentorship and Engagement

Mentorship Program!

We believe that mentorship is vital to employee success, and investing in our people is what we do. We have a formalized mentorship program, the basic details of which are outlined below.
The goals of this program are to enhance employee skill level and help individuals to set and reach professional goals through early goal identification, enhance workplace connectedness and office culture, provide our patients with the best care possible through continuous quality improvement, and to develop specialty care areas to provide our communities access to care that will alleviate their need to travel out of area.
Each new hire is assigned a mentor per care environment that they work in. The mentorship period will continue up to two years, with regular one on one meetings between mentor and mentee. In addition, owners will meet with the mentor and mentees quarterly to ensure the effectiveness of the program for the individual. Specific goals, objectives, and action points will be reviewed at each meeting to ensure that each mentee is advancing according to their own individual aspirations.

Employee Engagement!

We have a formalized employee engagement program, that allows employees to get to know each other inside and outside of work in a way that is comfortable to participants. Maple City Physical Therapy holds quarterly events and teambuilding activities to help contribute to positive workplace culture. These activities are so important to us that employees are given time in return, away from work, for their investment. Some examples include blowing glass pumpkins at the Corning Museum of Glass, working together on a holiday themed craft, attending a Cleveland Guardians game, or participating in a wine tour on the Finger Lakes. In addition, employees that are interested may participate in larger activities such as travelling to New York City, Daytona Beach, Washington D.C., or other locations the team is interested in visiting!

What Our Team Says!

When I say this is my favorite job I have ever had, I mean it entirely. From the patients I see, to my coworkers, my schedule, and the overall atmosphere everyday... There is nothing I can complain about. It is nice to be seen as an individual rather than just an employee and to be able to be myself in a professional setting is great. I like that we are always encouraged to ask questions and have the opportunity to expand our knowledge any chance we get. I am so thankful I ended up as part of the MCPT family and the support they have shown me in my time here and can't imagine being anywhere else."

Working here has genuinely been one of the best professional experiences of my life. From the very beginning I have been supported and appreciated. The atmosphere is positive, encouraging, and built around teamwork. What I appreciate most is the balance of challenge and support. I’m given opportunities to grow, learn new skills, and take on responsibilities that push me to be the best version of myself. I also have a team and leadership group who are always there to help when I need it and want me to succeed.”

I enjoy working at MCPT because I have the freedom to be myself amongst a group of supportive individuals. I have been able work with a schedule and with populations that I enjoy working with as well as explore potential areas of interest!”

I have worked at MCPT for 8 years and working here has truly been a joy. Megan and Jeremy care about their employees more than any other employer that I've ever worked for; they are considerate, compassionate, understanding and always treat their employees with respect. My co-workers here have become family. We always have so much fun when we are together and the energy in the office is always uplifting and positive; everyone works together as a team to give patients the best experience possible. The absolute best part of working at MCPT, though, is getting to know the patients and seeing them get better. It's a great feeling knowing you've helped a patient improve their quality of life, even if it's just being a friendly face at the window to check in. This job is fulfilling and I hope to work with the MCPT team for many more years to come."

Over my years here, I have had the opportunity to grow and learn. Our team works together and supports each other every day to help achieve the best patient outcomes. With this, we are able to see victories every day that make me proud to be a part of this organization."

MCPT has supportive staff, a great mentorship program (especially when starting as a new grad), and employee engagement opportunities. I also have the ability to work in a couple other settings like the schools and the ARC through contracts. Working at MCPT has really allowed me to gain confidence and grow as a PT."

Being a part of MCPT is special because it is a place where I can grow professionally while making a meaningful impact in people's lives. You truly feel part of a family, which to me is important when considering a career path."

I love working in a friendly, low stress environment where everyone is given the flexibility to practice in a way that works best for them. Each individual is empowered to use and develop their strengths to contribute to the greater good. I also appreciate the flexibility and respect for my work/life balance."
